Cake Smash Photography Sessions
The perfect way to celebrate your child's first, second or third birthday!
A cake smash session is the perfect way to celebrate and document your baby's big milestone of reaching a year of age! They are so much fun to capture and I'm very honoured that some parents choose their child's actual birthday to come and spend part of their day and celebrations with me which is wonderful and very special!
I'm so creative, I like to think that the possibilities are 'endless' with regards to the theme or colours for your session! Unicorns, Peter Rabbit, circus, jungle, wild at one, woodland, rainbow, floral or a colourful theme to suit the decor in your home - let's see what loveliness we can create! The cake for your session will be made by an amazing local cake maker and the cakes that she creates are incredible! Sessions take place on a weekday at my beautiful home studio just outside of Malvern in Worcestershire.
What is included in your cake smash session
Your cake smash session usually takes about 1-1.5 hours from start to finish - sessions aren't rushed, I operate a safe and very relaxed policy based around your child's needs and comfort.
We begin with a short portrait session. I'll take a series of photos of your little one before their cake smash. I aim to capture beautiful, timeless memories for you to treasure before the fun begins! We'll discuss colours before the session so that the photos will suit where you'd like to display your images. I have a range of lovely outfits to choose from for this part of the session too.
After a quick change of set and outfit change the fun begins! I capture your little one having fun tucking into or smashing their cake! The session is so much fun, parents enjoy this part too (they often have a little taste of the cake whilst helping their little one break into it!)
Included in the cost of the session is a standard cake made by an amazing local cake maker (you can upgrade your cake for a small fee to something that includes a more intricate design, extra detail etc).
After the fun of the cake smash, I fill a cute enamel tub with warm, bubbly water to wash away the buttercream and capture some lovely splash photos!
After the fun of the bubbles is a cosy towel ready to get dry and dressed.
After your session
I edit your beautiful photographs from the session
You are invited back to come and view the images which are created into slideshow.
Included in the standard package is a download of 10 digital files from your session.
Also included in the standard package is a beautiful 12"x12" storyboard collage print (there is the option to have this framed for an additonal fee). These are the perfect memento from your session. They feature 7 images from your session and are arranged along with your child's details to create a lovely storyboard collage.
You will also receive a HD Slideshow of your chosen images

There is the option to upgrade to your full digital gallery of all the images from your session including a full HD slideshow
Optional Extras
Upgrade to a full gallery of digital files from your session. This option also includes an upgrade of your print size to 16"x16"
Upgrade your cake to include something more intricate or add fondant figures etc
*Standard cake option is to the value of £25
How to Book a Session
I recommend booking in around 4-6 weeks prior to your session, cake smashes are very popular however I am very flexible and providing the baker has space to bake the cake I can usually squeeze in a 'last minute' cake smash

I require a £50 booking fee to secure your session and the balance is due on the day.
If you need to reschedule your session after the cake has been made there will be a fee incurred to cover the cost of a replacement cake.
