Introducing Newborn Mini Sessions at my beautiful studio in Malvern, Worcestershire

Launching Newborn Mini Sessions at my Studio in Malvern, Worcestershire

Congratulations on your exciting news that you're on your journey to becoming a new parent or perhaps your new arrival has already arrived into the world!
Becoming a new parent is a huge milestone in our lives and one to celebrate and document with memorable photographs of our little, newest family member and how tiny they are in those precious first weeks of their lives.

Becoming a parent can be an overwhelming feeling, you've prepared for your baby's arrival, gone through labour, come home and are adjusting to having your newborn and life with them. Perhaps you already have older children and you're adjusting to life as a parent to multiple children. There's a lot to think about and take care of in your world!
I get many emails or calls from new parents to say that their baby has just arrived and they've forgotten to book a photographer in advance, that it was on their to do list of lots of wonderful things when preparing for their baby's arrival but they hadn't quite got round to it.

Newborn photography really is the most precious and memorable of ways to capture the newness of your newborn baby. Nothing beats having these moments captured for you to have these photos to look back on and display lovingly via beautiful pieces of wall art on your walls in your home for many years to come and pass to your little ones too. Displaying newborn and family photos in your home is proven to strengthen bonds, display love and help grow your child's confidence and self esteem too.

My Newborn Mini Sessions...

In addition to offering full length newborn sessions I have recently launched Newborn Mini Sessions at my studio which is just outside of Malvern in Worcestershire. Most of my clients come to me from Worcester, Herefordshire, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire and as far away as Birmingham in the Midlands

You may be wondering whether a newborn mini session or a full newborn session is best suited for you and your needs.

Newborn Mini Sessions require less time commitment

As a new parent or a parent to a slightly older newborn - my newborn mini sessions are suitable up to the age of about 10 weeks you may be juggling a lot and may prefer to have a shorter session. These sessions take a maximum of one hour. Designed to be streamlined and time efficient these sessions last for a maximum of an hour. You'll choose 5 images you'd like in your session from a set menu of images. They're designed to be able to be produced efficiently for a newborn mini session, they're more simple in posing but capture your little one's newness, your new baby with parents or with siblings.

Newborn Mini Sessions require less time commitment

As a new parent/a parent to a slightly older newborn (my newborn mini sessions are suitable for babies up to the age of about 10 weeks) you may be juggling a lot and potentially be feeling overwhelmed and may prefer to have a shorter more steamlined session. These sessions are created and designed to take a maximum of one hour, You'll choose 5 images you'd like in your session from a set menu of images. The poses and sets are designed to be able to be produced efficiently for a newborn mini session, they're more simple in posing/styling but capture your little one's newness, your new baby with parents or with their siblings.

Affordability

I'm conscious that many families are carefully watching spending however new parents still really want to have these precious moments captured, memories created and their little one's newness in photos. It's an occasion many don't want to overlook, they're only so new and tiny for a short time. Because these sessions are designed to be less complex, I use less resources in these sessions and they can be captured in far less time making them a more affordable option for those who perhaps have a more limited budget.

Quality

With every session I offer I am always committed to offering a quality service, my years of  experience, expertise and training, my styling skills, along with stunning professionally produced images and treasured memories to you for your session. As with all of my sessions the option to purchase beautiful wall art, products and a full gallery is available from your mini newborn session.

Timings/Flexibility

For newborn sessions I usually recommend capturing your baby's session ideally within the first three weeks of them arriving. Beyond this time they become more alert, they're more aware and adapt to life outside the womb and less curly as each week passes. I have and do successfully captured many newborn sessions of babies over the years beyond three weeks of age but not all poses are possible and my sessions are first and foremost always based on your baby's safety and comfort. For those with an older newborn, the newborn mini session might be a good option. This session is designed purposely to be able to capture your little one from a few days of age through to about 10 weeks of age.

Most parents usually book in their newborn session any time from around their 20 week scan. I do however have you new parents book a session after their baby has arrived and accommodate older babies too

• When will my session take place?

For parents booking in advance of their baby arriving you are booked in based on your due date. The date of your session is scheduled according to when your baby arrives and how things are going post delivery (we'll dicsuss this ahead of scheduling your session). If your baby has arrived we'll schedule a time suitable to capture your session based on your baby and availability

• How many images will I receive?

Prior to your session you'll have a consultation and as part of this you'll be able to choose five images from the menu of poses/set ups specially created for my newborn mini sessions. I do take more than 5 images during the session and there is an option to upgrade to your full gallery of digital images if you're unable to decide which 5 images you'd like

Your baby's safety and comfort is always my first and foremost priority in every session. I am extensively trained in newborn safety. posing, advanced posing, settling, lighting and I have developed years of experience along with working with professionals in the industry and baby health in order to work with your baby safely. Although I'm not a medical practitioner I have worked with so many babies over so many years I can recognise hunger cues, finding wind, them potentially needing to poop, reflux signs etc.

• How long does it take for our photos to be ready?

It depends on my current workload but usually between 2-3 weeks from your session

Some reviews from previous wonderful parents following their newborn sessions:

'The quality of service from Hayley is 1st class from the outset. I have had pregnancy photos (x2), child photos and my wedding all captured by Hayley and the photos we will treasure forever. One thing I found so reassuring with Hayley is that she takes the time to understand what’s photos you want, and the time needed to capture the photos with no pressure. This combined with her talent and creativity gives outstanding results. Highly recommend' - Emma

'We had a maternity photo session and a newborn photo session with Hayley.
Both sessions were absolutely fantastic!! Hayley really took the time to capture all the looks we were going for. She has incredible outfits, dresses and drapes for the maternity photo shoot, which look beautiful, tasteful and elegant. Then for the newborn photo shoot I can only say positive things too! Very patient, she knows how to gently maneuver baby into cute positions and we fed our baby during the session without feeling rushed at all.

Would highly recommend 👍' - Jes

'Hayley did our newborn shoot of our daughter, it was so welcoming, calm and very accommodating to what we would like. Hayley has some beautiful items to pick from and is very creative with them. Hayley was also brilliant with our daughter, letting us taking regular breaks to feed and change her and also keeping the room lovely and warm so she wouldn’t be cold. The whole day was such a lovely experience for us 3 and something we will treasure forever.

Thank you for our lovely photos and we can’t wait to come back and have our sitters photos done soon!' - Kaleena

I look forward to hearing from you and capturing your family's journey
