Steph and Dan had their incredible day at the stunning Stanbrook Abbey in August last year. Stanbrook Abbey (which is just outside of Worcester in the West Midlands) is simply stunning. Overlooked by the Malvern Hills, the grounds are beautiful, there's a pretty litlte orchard, beautiful gardens and a lovely lake area with weeping willow. Inside is just as beautiful, the corridors with the contrasting tiles and arches take my breath away and the Callow Great Hall is stunning.
Steph along with her bridesmaids chose to get ready in the Bride's Manor which is a spacious manor house with beautiful rooms well equipped for wedding preparations. Dan also got ready at Stanbrook Abbey with his Groomsmen and I supplied them with an amazing second photographer as they both wanted each of their preparations along with different perspectives of their days captured (booking a second photographer is an option available to you).
Steph's beautiful dresses were by Mori Lee and bought from Roberta's Bridal in Staffordshire and the Gents' suits were hired from Bill Childs (Hereford). The Bridesmaid dresses were made by Alfred Angelo (who have very sadly ceased trading) and the younger bridesmaids dresses were from Emma's Bridal. Valerie Butcher from The Big Hair Day did everyone's hair and Amy Laney did the adults makeup. Steph's daughter did the younger girls' makeup.
Steph and Dan got married in the Callow Great Hall and had Malvern Male Voice Choir sing - they were incredible!
Their reception was held in the Thompson Hall with beautiful high ceiling and looked so classically elegant filled with candelabras and roses. The florist for their day was Passion Flowers of Worcester and Ivy Ellen created all of their beautiful stationery. Denise Pitt created their beautiful and fun wedding cake complete with a cute replica topper!
In the evening Stan Terry who is a family friend did an amazing Rod Stewart tribute and later they had The Official Receivers play the night away! Last but not least, Dan from Whitehouse Wedding Films filmed their day for them.
Steph and Dan shared some very kind words about their day -
"We picked you as a photographer because we felt a very natural arty vibe you gave off and we felt very comfortable in your presence. We had no doubt you would deliver beautiful photos, we both agreed from the start you would be our photographer. We love Stanbrook and there was plenty of great places for beautiful photos but we knew you could give them an extra special edge, we are very happy with all the pictures. The lighting in some pictures was magical xxx.
You blended in so well on the day we hardly noticed you were there it all went fantastically well. The other [photographer] was great too. We would recommend you without hesitation to whomever asks x"
If you're getting married at Stanbrook Abbey and are looking for a wedding photographer to capture your day please get in touch. I'm very local to Stanbrook Abbey (10 minutes away).
I'm a fine art and story telling photographer. I capture the couples' story, love and details of their day.
